Dachshund (short coat) Dog

Pinky the Dog needs a home

Heartworm Prevention is given on the 1st of each month

UPDATE:

Pinky is a sweet and lovable mix.  She wants nothing more than to curl up on your lap and take a nap.  She loves to give kisses all the time too.  She will do best as an only dog.  She isn't always fond of other dogs.  She is very shy and scared of new people and situations.  It takes her a little while to warm up to someone new.  She loves to eat!  She gets so excited when its time for her to eat.  She runs and jumps and does a little dance every time.  She has a sensitive stomach and is on a prescription dog food to help ensure she doesn't get an upset tummy.  As long as she eats her prescription dog food and nothing else, she doesn't get sick.  However, other foods will make her tummy hurt and she will throw up.  You can give her Pepcid to help as well if needed.  She is working on her house training.  She will go outside if you stay with her.  She hates being outside alone.  She is crated when her foster family is gone and at night.  She prefers to sleep in bed with you but will sleep in her crate or a dog bed.  She is a great little girl and deserves her own forever family.

Pinky is a snuggle bug of a little girl.  She loves to give kisses and get belly rubs.  Her favorite activity is eating.  She gets so excited when she hears her dog bowl. She doesn't like the crate but will sleep in it when it is covered.  She is scared of loud noises and takes a little while to warm up to new people.  She still has some puppy in her.  She likes to play bite on your hand but never bites hard.  She is sweet and a joy to love on.  Please open your heart and home to this precious little girl.

Pinky loves to cuddle and give kisses.  She is strong willed and will need to learn her manners.  It has been difficult to teach her basic commands since she spends so much time in her crate as she is finishing up heartworm treatment..  She doesn't like the crate, but prefers to be in your lap.  She has learned that belly rubs are the best thing ever!  She gets very excited it when it time to eat.  She is a picky eater but that may change once she is no longer on medication that upsets her tummy.  She still needs some work before she is fully potty trained.  She won't go potty on a leash.  No matter how long you have her outside on a leash, she won't go.  She is a special little girl who wants nothing more than her own family.  She wants to give her love to them and get love in return.
