Adopt a Pit Bull Terrier

DOB approx 11/2/11 Hey! Over here! I'm LOLA! I am a very sweet, very friendly, very beautiful, very athletic and SUPER playful girl with LOTS of energy that I would love to share with YOU! I am a wiggly, cuddly velcro girl who would love to snuggle up on your lap in spite of the fact that you may not have enough lap for all of me. I have tremendous enthusiasm for life and an extremely fun-loving spirit! My enthusiastic spirit does get me into trouble every now and then, though. You see, sometimes I forget that clothes and shoes aren't dog toys , and the people who are wearing them at the time don't seem to appreciate that (oopsie). I don't mean any harm, and the great folks here have been helping me learn how to curb that particular enthusiasm. I've already calmed down some (but still jump for joy at times) and know how to sit, down, come, drop it, and walk with a walking harness (I'll pull if you let me, so don't let me). I'm very smart, love learning new things and respond well to any sort of positive reinforcement. My training isn't complete yet, so I'll need a home that will continue to help me learn good manners and give me LOTS of regular exercise (I've heard that a tired dog is a good dog, but I'm not sure I've ever been quite as tired as I should be. ;-) ). In warm weather, I would love to spend time playing with you in a big fenced yard, but please don't make me stay in a kennel. I've had way too much of that already, and to be honest, I HATE kennels! I don't like the cold very much, either. It makes my feet hurt and I shiver, so I would like a snuggly warm bed (maybe right in front of a fireplace). Better yet, if you don't mind a big furry companion in bed, I can always climb in under the covers, and we can keep each other warm. Every now and then I meet another dog who I like OK, but I'm not fond of most of them, and I don't trust myself around cats. Little kids make me uncomfortable, too, but I'm great with adults (men and women) and older, adult-sized kids.
