Adopt a Chihuahua / Mixed

Ansel is a sweetie pie! He's adorably playful and gives lots of toothless little kisses. Ansel is one of those dogs with whom everyone just falls in love. He will play wrestle with stuffed toys and chase them down when you toss them! He's so precious, that we find ourselves giggling at his antics often.

Ansel greets you with his tail wagging, and he's also quite content curling up in your lap. He prefers to be picked up with two hands, and Ansel enjoys lots of gentle petting all over his little body. He is wary of too much intense contact from overly-enthusiastic little ones, so he would probably do best in a home without small children. Gentle, older kids would be just fine.

Ansel gets along well with his foster sibling, and he politely shares his bones with her! He does well with all dogs. Ansel has even tried to engage in play with gentle, big dogs, so he'd do well with dogs of any size in his pack. Ansel loves walks and he does great on a leash, even with one of his doggie buddies!

Ansel is a quiet fella who will just bark a bit when inspired to do so by a doggie pal. He does just fine with free run of the house, and he likes his crate, too, where he will put himself to bed at night when he is tired. He may also choose to sleep peacefully on the bed with you some nights! When Ansel goes out with you for a car ride, he would love to sit in your lap, but he is such a good boy that he will lay quietly in the passenger seat instead.

Ansel is such an easy dog; he is social, friendly, house-trained, quiet, playful, cuddly, and oh-so-eager to please! He's a bright ray of sunshine! Won't you give him his forever home, and let him make your days even brighter?

Ansel is came to us from Salinas Animal Services after being picked up as a stray.
