Meet Ruthie! Ruthie came from a stressful situation, She is currently with a loving foster who has made strides in helping her with some anxieties (mostly noise & commotion). She is housebroken, good on a leash and obeys many commands. Ruthie is a very smart girl who has full run of the house when her foster mom is away. She loves to play outdoors and is happy to go on for a ride in the car. Ruthie is playful & affectionate. She would do best in a calm home as an ONLY dog. her forever person / family would need the time to help settle her in and get comfortable with a new routine. Ruthie is a great dog - come out and meet her.
Ruthie has a very engaged foster, they have been enrolled in many training activities. Ruthie is a quick learner and loves the attention she gets from the classes. She does very well and has many training certificates.
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, , rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention, monthly flea/tick prevention, and our transport costs.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at [email protected].
