Adopt a Anatolian Shepherd (short coat)
Kali the Dog needs a home
Our best guess is that Kali is an Anatolian Shepherd, or perhaps a Great Pyrenees/Anatolian mix. She has double dew claws which are more common in Pyrs than in Anatolians. Kali was dumped in a rural area in Sapulpa, Oklahoma but lucky for her she was taken in by a Good Samaritan who took care of her until she could find a rescue. Kali never had to go to the shelter, thank goodness.
Kali loves playing with the other dogs in her foster home, but she also loves attention from her human family. She hasn't quite grown out of all her puppy behavior, so she needs lots of chew toys. Her adopter needs to be prepared to put away shoes and books and anything else that might tempt a young dog. She is doing well with her house-training and crate-training and most nights, sleeps in the house without being inside the crate.
Kali loves splashing and playing in the little blue wading pool. She is also very athletic, and has been in a home where she goes jogging every day.
Kali would do best in a home with another young dog to play with, or with someone who is home most of the time. If left at home alone, we worry that she would get bored and wreak havoc.
