Pepper-Boy est un peu réservé, mais sociable et sympathique. Il aime les gens et les délices que lui procurent les caresses et l'attention qu’on lui donne. Il est très doux, gentil et a une bonne nature. Il n’aime pas tellement la proximité des autres chats. Il serait donc plus à l’aise s’il était le seul chat de la maison. Pepper-Boy a vécu dans une famille avec enfants pendant les premières années de sa vie. Son propriétaire a dit qu'il était un merveilleux chat avec eux, il est affectueux et attaché à sa famille. Mais le propriétaire de l’appartement ne voulait pas d’animaux. Ce fut un coup sévère pour Pepper-Boy qui s’est senti dévasté par la perte de la seule maison et famille qu'il ait jamais connue. Le pauvre chat est devenu extrêmement déprimé et triste après la séparation. Il s’est caché dans un coin. Il ne mangeait plus et ne se laissait pas consoler. Il faisait pitié à voir et son état a brisé le coeur de tous ceux qui le regardaient. Après beaucoup d'efforts, de patience et de temps, il a commencé peu à peu à sortir de sa dépression. Il a récupéré de cette profonde perte et a maintenant retrouvé son ancien moi. Il aime être choyé et permet aux gens de s’approcher de lui, mais encore avec un grain de prudence. Pepper-Boy a besoin d'un engagement, d’un foyer aimant où il se sentira aimé et en sécurité. Les gens qui l'adopteront doivent s’engager à le garder et à prendre soin de lui, peu importe ce qu’il adviendra! Pepper-Boy ne doit plus jamais, jamais être abandonné. Son cœur serait brisé à nouveau et il ne pourrait survivre à un second abandon. Si vous êtes cette personne ou famille spéciale qui sera toujours prête à trouver les ressources pour prendre soin de lui jusqu’à la fin de sa vie, alors vous êtes la bonne personne pour ce minet très affectueux et sensible!

Pepper-Boy is a somewhat reserved but social & friendly. He loves people and delights in receiving attention and caresses. Pepper Boy is not overly demanding but, as noted, thrives on receiving and giving love. He is very gentle, sweet and even natured. He does not like other cats and would do best if he was the only cat. Pepper Boy lived with a family and children for the first few years of his life. His owner said he was a wonderful cat who was great with the children, but the owner of his apartment didn't want animals in the building. This was a severe blow for Pepper Boy who felt devastated by the loss of the only home he had ever known. His owner agreed that Pepper Boy was very affectionate and attached to his family and became extremely depressed and sad afterwards. He hid in a corner and looked so defeated and crestfallen. He would not eat or allow himself to be comforted. He was a challenge and it broke our hearts to look at him. After a lot of effort, patience and time, he gradually began to emerge from his depression. He has recovered from this profond loss and is now his "former self". He loves being petted and allows people to get close to him, albeit with a healthy degree of caution. Pepper needs a committed, loving home where he will feel loved and secure. The people who adopt him must be 150% committed to keeping and caring for him, no matter what! Pepper must never, ever be abandonned or given away again. His heart would be broken again and it is feared he could not survive this kind of hurt again. If you are that special, person who has deep feelings and will "stay with" an animal & never give up on it, always ready to find the resources to take good care of it, to the end of his life through "thick & thin", then you are the right one for this very loving and sensitive fellow!
