Athena the Dog needs a home
ATHENA, or ‘Thenie’ as her foster mom calls her, is in need of her forever home. She’s a beautiful, special, girl looking for a person & home with a lot of patience and love for a shy girl.
Athena will adjust best in a calm home with low-key activity. New people and loud noises still scare this sweet girl. She warms up to women more quickly than men and will do best in a home with older kids. Thenie loves other dogs, so another good-natured in the home is a must. A professional dog behaviorist / trainer provided Athena’s foster mom some great advice for her future family! Topics centered around how to help her adjust easily into a new environment.
This precious girl is house-trained, crate-trained, and uses a doggy door, but a secure fence is also a must. Athena is a amazingly sweet girl, and when she knows she is safe with you, you are rewarded with her heartwarming smile and gentle tail wag.

The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $250.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Athena is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
