Adopt a Pug / Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed

I can’t believe how much my life has changed in the last two months! Although I was really nervous and timid in the beginning, with the help of my foster sister Mudge showing me the way, I have settled in wonderfully with my foster family. I still get a little nervous when I meet new people. My anxiousness comes out in a bark, but when you get on my level and let me smell you, it makes me feel better. I do need a bit more time getting used to other dogs, foster mommy thinks that my sister growing up used to pick on me and that is why I am a little apprehensive of other dogs. I have growled at foster sissy a few times if she comes up from behind and scares me or if she walks over me when I’m cuddled under a blanket. So foster mommy feels that I should be an only dog, or with another calm dog. I love cats though, I really love to sniff them! I can be pretty playful, especially when you get home or when it’s time for a walk - my foster family are still amazed that I’m 10.5 years old. I walk very nicely on a leash and I am crate trained, but foster mommy says that I don’t require one at all. I am not a chewer and can be trusted to roam free when you are gone. I’ve never shown any aggression around food and know that I need to wait my turn to eat. Foster mommy says I’m very smart! You only need to show me once where I need to stand if I need to go the little girls room. I’ve never once had an accident in the house. I also know sit, stay and shake a paw. I listen very well to my name and always come when you call me. After going for walks, my most favourite thing in the world is to snuggle with foster dad. As soon as I see him heading for the couch or to bed, I am there too!!!
