Once upon a time, not too long ago, I had wings. My wings were strong and could carry me above the highest of clouds. But one day, my people betrayed me and my wings were stolen. I wandered alone until new people came with promises of helping me grow my wings back. Despite where I came from, and what I have been through, I am happy, healthy, full of energy, inquisitive and extremely smart. I believe in fairytales and trust that the world is not full of the nightmares I was born into 16 months ago. I believe there are plenty of quaint places and kind people who would love to give me a warm bed to sleep in, a good meal to fill my belly, and perhaps even a pool to swim in as I have learned I am quite fond of water! I trust that my true people, the ones who will protect, and care for me, will be patient with me as I am still frightened of some other dogs – particularly non-friendly female dogs and that I do not trust cats or little kids just yet. I am a fairytale dog, with a fairytale beginning and am looking for my happily ever after. Will you please give me a chance?
