Adopt a Jack Russell Terrier / Mixed (medium coat)
Shaun White the Dog needs a home
We will be doing adoptions on Saturday, February 17th and Sunday, February 18th from 12-4pm at Palo Alto Pet Food Express. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express from 12-4pm on Sat. Feb. 17th & Sun. Feb. 18th or until adopted. If interested, please fill out an application if you would like the first opportunity to meet prior to the start of the event. (We will pre-approve one home to meet per dog.)
Shaun White is a 6 month old JRT mix. He is quite the little character. He is full of personality and spunk. He also has this soft, gentle, loving, snuggly side. Oh boy. This guy will win you over in a moment's notice. He will sit next to you on the couch and snuggle up. He will play with you out in the yard. He also has this almost dramatic side to him. Clearly the leash and collar were a new thing to him. Oh my! He was flailing and crying and even had the neighbor's looking out their door wondering what torture techniques were being used as we stood on the grass just waiting for him to adjust. He did. He's getting better on the leash. Soon he'll be a pro.
Shaun is great with other dogs. He came into the rescue with another dog and he clearly is dog social. He's very much an option to go to a home with a dog or to go to doggy day care or the dog park. He is also an option to live by himself and be someone's one and only. It may take an initial adjustment but he's young and he'll adjust.
Shaun is an option to go to a home that is less experienced BUT has done their homework and is prepared for welcoming a dog. if there are children in the home they need to be over the age of 6.
