Adopt a Tuxedo (short coat)
Abella (deaf) the Cat needs a home
Abella is a very petite, sweet little girl who was dealt as bad hand by nature. She has polyps in each that have grown through her eardrums and have caused her to be deaf. But her big eyes and more than make up for the lack of hearing. And she is VERY vocal. She sits at the window of the rescue room and notifies everyone when her favorite caretaker has arrived.
Abella was living outdoors and frequently a feral kitty feeder. After being trapped and vetted in Jan., 2014,, she entered Kats by Keithan Rescue, where it was discovered that she was deaf. She's well cared for in the shelter, and much happier than when she was fending for herself, but she would be even happier if she didn't have to share her space with so many other cats. She has her own little 'house,' right at the window, but she NEVER comes down to floor level or mixes with the 'general population.' She loves to be petted and is SOOOO much more relaxed and loving when in a room without other cats. Her vet estimates that she was born in November, 2013.
If you'd like to meet Abella, and possibly give her a real home, please contact Eloise, Kats by Keithan Rescue, 570-428-2179 or [email protected]. Abella would certainly enjoy finally having a real home.
Abella is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and feline leukemia/FIV negative.
