Meet Mrs. Bucket!
She's an affectionate, playful young lady who loves to cuddle and is happy to chill. She appears to be a Shepherd mix about 3 years old. She's great walking on a leash. She has been living in a kennel environment, so we aren't sure what her house training and crate training skills are. She hasn't been introduced to cats yet and when she sees children, she gets very excited and wants to be with them. She's even-tempered and gentle with people, so she would probably do fine with kids but she hasn't lived with any while in our car. She loves to go for car rides and look out the window. She also loves squeaky and chew toys, going for walks, playgroup, meeting new people, and playing chase with the other dogs. Mrs. Bucket does best with confident dogs; she tends to focus on submissive and reactive dogs, so she would do best as an only or with another well balanced dog. Mrs. Bucket would do best in a home with a dog savy leader to help give her the structure and leadership she will thrive from.
We strongly recommend that all our dogs attend obedience training and we recommend the same for Mrs. Bucket. Group training classes are great for learning cool stuff together, which helps strengthen the canine/human bond, building confidence and for socialization. Dogs of all ages also benefit from mental stimulation - think puzzle toys, busy feeders and games. Though Mrs. B may not need a fenced yard, she will require daily leash walks and opportunities to play off-leash in a dog park.
This outgoing sweetheart can't wait to settle into her forever home, so let's not keep her waiting! Fill out an application today and make Mrs. Bucket's dream come true!
Mrs. Buckets Back Story:
Mrs. Bucket was pregnant when dropped off at the shelter, but because she was so skinny it was not apparent. She delivered nine puppies and sadly only one of them survived. Charlie Bucket was adopted and now it's Mama's turn to find her forever home!
Adoption Fee: $425

We get to know each of our dogs as an individual and do our best to describe and place them based on personality not breed label. Some dogs may not yet be in New England, nor ready for immediate adoption. There may be additional vetting, quarantine, waiting periods and/or fees depending upon your state of residence. If you have questions or concerns on any of this, you can discuss this with your Adoption Counselor.
