Boxer (short coat) Dog

Keesha the Dog needs a home

Hi, my name is Keesha! I am two and a half years old and spent my life so far in a puppy mill.  I have had many babies, but now I would like to find my forever home and have somebody baby me!

Keesha has come a long way in 2 months. She goes outside when told, plays a little bit with the other dogs, and loves loves loves to cuddle her foster human and fur family. Keesha is pretty comfortable in a kennel at night and or during the day while we are at work, but will rattle it around if she is not ready to be in it yet. She is still very easily startled by loud noises or fast movements, leery of strangers and does not know basic commands yet. She does come to her foster mom, when coaxed gently, most of the time. Keesha has been eating well, but does require a specific process be met... she is given her food before the other three dogs, and the other three dogs are fed in a different room. Keesha won't eat if there are other dogs in the room or if she thinks her humans are looking at her.

Keesha has not met any children or cats at this time, but it is assumed that she would treat them as she does all new things - she watches carefully from a distance, and scuttles away from if it gets too close. Keesha takes her time getting used to new people and things, but it is all around a sweet, gentle, wonderful girl.
