Stitch the Cat needs a home
Stitch came to us when he was just a wee kitten. He and his siblings were found outside with no mom in sight. They were bottle fed by one of our amazing fosters until they were old enough to be placed with their permanent foster mom. All kittens except for Stitch have found their forever homes and he has been patiently waiting for his turn for quite some time. Stitch is a super sweet and talkative boy. He has the cutest high-pitch chirp when he's happy or wants attention and absolutely loves to have his tummy rubbed, which is quite unusual for most cats. He is very gentle and docile, except for when he has to get his nails trimmed; then he becomes a wiggle worm. While he's not big on being held, he will lay beside you to snuggle. He is shy though and needs time and patience to build trust with his humans. He does get spooked by loud noises and sudden movements and will seek a hiding spot when there is too much going on around him. However, when things quiet down, he will immediately run over to you for love and cuddles and rolls onto his back for his favorite activity, tummy rubs. He thoroughly enjoys canned food and I have found that it works as a great tool for gaining his trust and helping him acclimate to new environments. He's also quite playful and will happily chase a feather stick or laser light until he wears himself out. He does great with other kitties and is definitely not the alpha cat, so having a feline companion or two will help him feel comfortable in his surroundings and more at ease. I think he would adjust to a cat-friendly dog with time and a proper introduction, but he would do best in a home without children. Stitch is neutered, microchipped, negative for FeLV/FIV and current on vaccinations. DOB 3/27/13 - tag # 8577.
