Don't be fooled by Misty's adorable grump face, she is actually one of the sweetest things around. She is an approx 6-8 yr old dark grey cat with an awesome plume for a tail. She does have some medical oddities, shall we say, as she has 3 legs and diabetes. She originally found herself at risk of euthanasia in a local shelter because of her unregulated diabetes. It has taken a few months to get it back under control and her other side ailments (a kitty cold and some anemia) are also resolving. She is very cooperative for her twice daily insulin injections.




Misty is great with the other cats in her foster home, including (annoying) kittens, fairly dumb adult cats and one very perfect cat. She also coexists peacefully with the large dog in the home. She does not have an aggressive bone in her body with anyone. We have found that Misty can use low litter boxes reliably, although she is also very happy to use puppy pads as well, if an adopter finds that easier.




Misty has likely used up 3 of her 9 lives so far, but we are hoping she finds someone who wants a really sweet, funny old(ish) lady cat to spend her remaining 6 lives with!

The Cat Shack rescue is all volunteer and the adopted cats are delivered to your home. Because we deliver the cats to you, we must restrict the adoptions of our highly adoptable cats to a 1 hour drive from the Allentown PA area. In certain situations, 'special-needs' cats, ferals and older cats will be adopted to homes at a greater distance then a 1 hour drive from Allentown PA.
