Adopt a Basenji / Carolina Dog / Mixed (short coat)
Noah the Dog needs a home
Noah was part of a litter of six or seven who were picked up by a rural Animal Control. The shelter was crowded and these fearful pups did not have much interaction with many people. They liked the person who fed them, and they were brave through the gates longing for kindness. All but three were rescued and transported. We were watching them, but our volunteers were very busy and time passed. The three left were spayed and neutered, but still more time passed. The shelter got more full and these three - although fully vetted, vaccinated, and spayed and neutered were no longer safe. The rest of their short lives were being counted by the days. We saw other shy pups who looked differently come and go and be adopted, so we thought we would take a chance on Noah and his sisters. Noah is doing fantastic at his foster's home and is walking good on the leash. He keeps his areas clean so house-training shouldn't be difficult. While our fosters are working with them, they can't save others, so Noah is available for adoption to the right family who knows how to be patient and wait for Noah to be comfortable enough to act like the rest of us thinks he should as a family dog. Adopting him means you save another who can take his place in rescue and with a foster. His adoption fee is negotiable. We need the space, but will be picky about his family to ensure he won't become a chain dog, yard dog, or lawn ornament. Please contact us for an application! Noah needs time, but we need the space.
