Adopt a Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Domestic Short Hair (short coat) Cat

Duke the Cat needs a home

DOB: August 2009

Meet Duke:

Duke is large black short haired cat, he has seen much as he like to observe. He has been at the shelter many years, he was brought in with his brother Gus, who has since passed away. They were found hiding in a cardboard box in the middle of winter.

Duke is till timid after all these years and will run into the safety of the large green wooden box we keep out for this purpose. He will snuggle in there with with a couple other long time buddies.

This last year (2017) Duke has been staying out when volunteers are around, watching everyone and everything going on at the shelter. He will sit in the middle of the room or up on one of the wall shelves or right at a door just watching, unless one of the younger cats get a bit rambunctious then he will go over and check it out. Of course the youngsters just keep playing.

Is Duke a lap cat no, at least not yet. He needs a chance, in a home where he can show someone who he truly is. If you want to give this big guy the “furever” home and family he has never known, please fill out an adoption application and contact us.
