Adopt a Great Pyrenees / Labrador Retriever / Mixed (medium coat)

Simba is looking for his forever home. He was adopted from us when he was 4 months old. Unfortunately now that he is an adolescent, he and the resident male dog did not see eye to eye so he was returned and is now 9 months old and 65#.

The ideal home for Simba should be an only dog home or maybe have a female dog but no male dogs.



Simba and his siblings were found under a building in eastern NC. Their mom is a 45# lab mix who was spayed so her puppies making days are over. Dad is believed to be a 100# Great Pyrenees.










A little about Simba:
He loves to swim and retrieve sticks in water,
Loves playing fetch. Just say let me see and he let's you have item he fetched.
His fave toys are nylabone and Kong wubbies and anything with fluff.


- Simba likes to cuddle with his person on sofa. He likes to sleep on floor by persons bed at night.
Simba likes to flop his paws at things, pyr paw!

Simba is the outdoorsy type who likes camping and hiking and kayaking

Simba loves belly rubs.
Loves kids. Want to be with them when he sees them.
Simba is crate trained, goes right in with no fuss. Never has accidents and does his business as soon as he goes out.
Simba is still a pup so he does chew, but as long as has lots of toys will use those, especially nylabones.
Simba has never been around cats so we are unsure how he would do. He has been around (behind a fence) livestock and fowl without too much interest.
Simba loves the car. Just sacks out. Knows word "ride" and gets very excited.


Being part great pyrenees, he does guard well. Will bark at noises. Always alert, typical of great pyrenees. So an apartment or busy neighborhood probably not the ideal situation for our boy.
Simba is not destructive with furniture and likes being a couch potato.
He loves walking, loves to chase butterflies and moths or a leaf blowing by. Pounces at them with ears up high. Such a carefree, happy soul!
Will follow right at your heels and plop by feet in the home.

Simba does goodto out in public. Let's people pat him, very friendly, very curious!

Simba has the softest little ears.
He's still a baby and gets scared sometimes and wants love and assurance then he runs and leaps like a deer when happy. He is a happy boy and loves people. A good boy just an adolescent who will challenge another male in same home but pretty good at meeting others outside the home.
Simba will make someone a great companion.

Please be sure to do your research on great pyrenees. This pup will need to be well socialized and we require he attend an obedience class.



Simba's adoption fee is $450. He is neutered and up to date on shots, microchip and come with a health certificate.
