Adopt a Terrier / Mixed (short coat)
Sierra, A pretty terrier mix the Dog needs a home
Sierra
Sierra is a sweet, shy girl who has come a long way from the puppy we first rescued.
Sierra loves attention and has a wonderful smile when she is happy. Sierra Loves to roll over on her belly for rubs to be petted. she has the most incredible green eyes that just melt you. Sierra very much wants to be with her human and is a willing learner. she will need a very patient adopter who has the time and energy to work with her. Sierra has come a long way, she will be shy at first and will need some time to adjust, that being said, she is a total lover once she knows and trusts her humans.
A yard will be a must so she can go outside as needed without needing to be on a leash for walks.
A very secure fenced yard is critical with no way for her to dig out anywhere under. S
he is curious about the outside world and learned how to dig under the fence at the rescue facility. she is not a city dog and would do best in a country setting.
Sierra is housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door, she is easily trained, however, we have not had a chance to do any leash training with her, so she will need some work on this. Sierra would do well if there is another dog in the home to bond with as she is very much a pack animal and loves other dogs her size. She is a very loving affectionate, smart dog. Sierra is shy and a bit fearful of new people. She will do best in a quieter home that does not have a lot of people coming and going. Once she bonds with her humans, she is just the most loving girl and seeks out attention and affection.
Sierra is 18 lbs pounds, so on the small side of medium. The adoption fee is $450.00 and covers all vaccines/spay/microchip/flea treatment/worming and parasite control, health cert and her rescue from the shelter.
Adopting a Dog requires a lot of work and is a commitment! Sierra will be an awesome addition to a family that can give him the attention, exercise, training, and affection he deserves.
1) We give preference to applicants with prior small breed knowledge/ experiences.
2) Secure visible fencing required.
3) Please do NOT write us and ask if this dog is available. If it is posted, it is available. BUT, we may be working other applications that came in before yours. If so, by the time you are approved, the puppy may not be available.
4) The FASTEST way to be considered for a puppy is to fill out an application. If you write, it will delay your application and put you to the back of the line. All the persons processing applications are volunteers that have their own dogs, families and job responsibilities. We do our best to get applications done quickly but applications for adult dogs come before puppy applications. There is always someone that will want to adopt a puppy.

Adoption Fees
Adoption fee is 450.00 this covers transport and adoption and medical such as certain vaccines, worming and parasite, and flea/tick control, health certificate and wellness exam
We bring dogs from up from California. so there are transportation costs for each dog. Then the dogs need to be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, groomed, and sometimes boarded if we can't place them in a foster, or set up at the adoption facility in Arlington, Also, we don't receive any grants so we rely solely on adoption fees and donations to fund all of our rescue efforts. Finally, we take on "Special Needs" dogs with high vet costs and pay for their procedures with 'leftover' funds from adoption fees for healthier dogs.
About Rompin Paws Rescue
Rompin Paws Rescue is a licensed, non-profit organization working towards our 501C3, specializing in rescuing moms to be, moms with puppies, puppies without moms and other Death Row dogs. We are located in Western Washington State.
Our passion is to bring people and pets together.
Countless dogs are without homes and in need of assistance. These are dogs who would make wonderful and faithful companions if only they could connect with the right person or family. We have made it our mission to help them do this. At the same time, we hope to enrich the lives of those who adopt them.
We strive to match our dog's needs and personality to the preferences and requirements of each potential adopter. We believe this is a crucial component of the process and will help ensure a life-long relationship.
Our primary focus is on small mixed breeds, moms, and puppies of small and large breeds, although we do occasionally take in larger dogs. We work collaboratively with shelters, other rescue groups, and individuals, both locally and in California.
Healthy dogs: As a rescue saving dogs from starvation, Neglect and Emaciation, RPR focus's on feeding each rescued animal the healthiest dog food made of Human Grade ingredients to help them recover from their stress and starvation. We share this with our adopters and encourage them to keep their new pet on the same foods for optimal health and a long life.
RPR was established in April 2015. we placed 400 dogs in our first year of operation in a small facility on Acreage in Arlington Washington.
We have a few local fosters and seek to increase our foster base in order to save more lives
Come Meet Our Pets...
We have a home based operation on Acreage in Arlington and
Our dogs are placed in foster homes around the greater Seattle/I-5 Corridor North to Arlington area where they receive socialization and training while they await adoption.
Our Adoption Process...
Since we have a small facility on gated acreage, we are unable to stay open to anyone who wishes to come visit. To facilitate successful adoptions we ask interested people and families to fill out an application for the dog or dogs they may be interested in. We screen the applications and then speak with the interested party by phone. If it looks like a good match can be made, we pre-approve the applicant and set an appointment for a meet and greet with the dogs at out facility or with the fosters who have the dogs in their care. we continue the interview in person and make sure the dog and family are a good fit.
