Spud Muffin the Dog needs a home

 



This sweet face with the big brown orbs belongs to our newest import, Spud Muffin!! Our scruffy lil guy hails from south of the border where he was rescued from a dangerous street life. He's in one of our awesome foster homes now and being treated for giardia. He tested positive for lyme disease :( so we need to do further diagnostics to see if this tick borne disease is affecting him in any other way. We're hoping he'll be able to pass it on his own. Lyme is not common in canines and a first for WDR. Meanwhile he's also being neutered and having two retained canine teeth removed. We think our cute muffin is about 8 months old and he weighs just over 10 pounds right now and still growing. Stay tuned for updates on Spud Muffin's recovery as he gets ready for a forever family of his own!
