Adopt a Havanese / Poodle (Miniature) / Mixed (long coat)
Karlo the Dog needs a home
The name Karlo has Germanic roots meaning free man, which is appropriate given the fact that this guy was rescued from a kill shelter right in the nick of time! Karlo is an adorable Havapoo with an equally adorable underbite. Karlo is a dream in a home environment. His previous foster dad tells us that Karlo is very low-maintenance and isn’t destructive at all around the apartment. He enjoys playing with his toys and learning new tricks. This smart cookie was house-trained within a couple weeks! Karlo can be a tad hesitant around new people, but given just a little time to trust any newcomers, Karlo turns into a total snuggle bug. He does require some time to build up trust and set appropriate boundaries, particularly with new people. Once you get to know him, you’ll find that Karlo has a very sweet, friendly, loving, and engaging personality. He is currently in a large play group with other smaller dogs at TBL, though given proper introduction, we’re sure he’d do fine with larger dogs as well. Karlo is a great compact size of just 9 pounds, and he is about 4 and a half years old as of November 2017. His goofy mad scientist hairdo is very low-shedding (great for those more prone to doggie allergies), and his coat will require grooming from time to time to keep in tip top condition. Do not miss out on your chance to meet Karlo to see if he would be a good fit for you!
