Adopt a Tabby (short coat)
KT-Sophia Loren the Cat needs a home
?This sweet dilute tortie is SOPHIA LOREN?
Her rescue story is extremely sad, but has a very happy ending. I saw a post on a local Philadelphia cat commumity page about a cat laying day after in the same spot clearly in need of help. This post had 294 comments 117 shares and still no one went to help her.
That all changed when i saw her sweet face. I went to pick her up and we headed straight to the emergency vets. Sophia Loren was a young adult at 2 yrs old, but only weighed as much as a kitten. It was quickly discovered that she was starving due to a severe mandible fracture. Otherwise known as a broken jaw.
*It was agreed between 3 veterinarians that this awful trauma was most likely done intentionally by some despicable human.*
Sofia Loren received 2 surgeries to repair this broken jaw. Both times ending in having a wired jaw and cage rest for months. During this time she never became depressed and would still eat slowly on her own. After months and months of recovery and rehab Sophia Loren is now ready to find her forever home as she has made a 100% strong recovery and does not require anymore medical attention to her jaw! She loves to be pet and held! She is a major talker too!! Her meows are short and sound more like 'chirps' almost! She also enjoys a good game of tag with her human!
She enjoys wet and dry food these days, her favorite cat house and is up to date on shots, spayed and 100% healthy!
She would do best in a home without little kids.
