Volunteers arrange the adoption of pets, and follow up with new owners to insure proper treatment and care. The League has featured pictures of pets available for adoption in The Jersey Journal's "Pet Corner" column, which runs every Saturday. Pictures of pets for adoption can also be found in the Evening Star Telegram and the Hoboken Recorder. Additionally, we have adoption candidates listed on our website with Petfinder: a national Internet directory of area shelters/rescue organizations. We have created our own website: http://www.hcalnj.org which features pets available for adoption. Recently, we were invited to participate in a local cable talk show where we discuss our organization and show pets available for adoption. We have an open invitation to participate. "PetsMart" (a large pet supply chain store) has welcomed us to have "Adoption Days" twice a month at their store and this has been very successful.
