We are a 501C3. We are currently building a 5000sq ft building that will include a full surgical suite. Our aim is to offer low cost spay/neuter program that will not require low income, county resident etc as most programs do. If you can not afford to pay you will be able to volunteer hours in exchange for services. We already do a yearly vaccine clinic and want to expand that to a once a month clinic to offer low cost vaccines etc for people who would not otherwise take their animals to the vet. We feel that education and spay/neuter programs will help with the many unwanted pets. Marion County is the 3rd poorest county in Texas and the "sickest" county human health". We are working to change the way the animals are handled. We began in 2007. We have 15 acres. Our long range plans include a dog park, adoption center and community meeting center. We want schools to bring children in on field trips for education of animals and care. There i nothing else in this rural area. We have come far but still have far to go.
