The Humane Society Canine Program selects dogs from the County Animal Shelter and transports them to rescue groups. These dogs are available for adoption while they are at the Humane Society kennels, but medical protocol, including spay/neuter surgery, is provided only when an adoption is completed. Adopted dogs are heart worm tested, receive flea/worm/ear mite preventive treatment, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, licensed, and receive a complimentary eight-week obedience class offered by the Dan Emmett Kennel Club. The adoption fee is $100.00.
