The purpose is simple: to help all abused and homeless dogs, to end the misery of euthanasia and to enable every dog a happy and loving forever home.
Roxie's Fund was established in 2000. The fund was inspired by Cindy Vernasco's first Rottweiler "Roxie". And it is this continued inspiration that keeps Roxie's Fund alive. The fund makes good on all of the unconditional happiness and love Roxie brought to the Vernasco home by helping the abused and homeless animals.
Roxie's Fund has a two fold mission. First, we are extremely proud of our Roxie's Fund Rescue Network. The Rescue Network is an active organization bringing homeless dogs into "Roxie's Rescues" Network program where we take total care of all the dogs medical and emotional needs. We also have a rehabilition program and training program to address specific issues. We then place these once homeless animals into caring and loving forever homes.
Our second and definitely a very exciting part of Roxie's Fund, is our Roxie's Fund Building Foundation. Roxie's Fund is extremely active, and is pursuing a goal to build a No-Kill Animal Sanctuary for all homeless dogs. Homeless animals will be welcome into the Sanctuary and kept safe until they are adopted into their "forever" home. Animals that are not adoptable will live out their life in a safe and loving environment at Roxie's Animal Sanctuary.
The time is "Now" to end homeless animals and assure all dogs a "forever" loving home of their own!
