All potential adoptors are screened to find compatable, loving homes.
The tax-deductible adoption fee for our vet-checked cats and kittens is $90. This reduced price cannot be compared to the normal price you would pay to get similar testing, vaccinations, neuter, etc., at your local veterinarian's office. It is much lower than you would pay as an individual as our vets donate much of their time and effort to our rescue group in order to keep our costs down in finding homes for homeless pets. No one that Volunteers for SOS receives monetary payment and quite the opposite, we spend quite a bit of our own money in caring for and fostering for the animals. We pass this savings on to you as incentive to give our homeless pets the loving homes they deserve.
