Saving Graces 4 Felines was conceived and founded in late 2001 and became incorporated as a nonprofit organization with the State of North Carolina on January 14, 2002.
Saving Graces 4 Felines is a "NO-KILL" facility. The desire to help stray, abandoned, and feral cats who have no home and are left to fend for themselves in less than desirable environments and the mutual love we have for these wonderful animals was behind the organizing of this effort.
This effort is extremely rewarding from a personal perspective, but more importantly it satisfies a need in this community and Pitt County, North Carolina as a whole that is not available. And we are strictly a volunteer organization.
In the year 2002, Saving Graces 4 Felines doubled their projections for the first year of operation. The organization was responsible for 490 cat spay/neuters, preventing 538,000 feral-cat births over a four-year period. During the same year, the organization placed for adoption 411 cats or kittens, each with a mandatory spay/neuter contract and up-to-date medical care.
