Pee Wee Chi D3790 the Dog needs a home
?Hi there! My name is PeeWee and I'm an approximately 5 year old Chihuahua mix. I'm told I'm a funny, quirky little guy. By quirky they mean I'm very sweet and love people and dogs that are around my size but I also like my space. When I get tired or just want some alone time I like to go to my kennel or burrow into a blanket and if someone bugs me when I'm tired I will growl at them to go away. I usually only do it to my foster brother because sometimes all he wants to do is play but I need my beauty rest. I don't ever bite anyone and my foster mom tells me to stop being so dramatic. I prefer to sleep in my kennel at night to ensure I get a full nights sleep, unless there is a thunderstorm then I like to sleep by people. I really like my foster mom and will crawl on her lap for pets and I've even started to take little naps there. She makes me feel safe and secure and she says the more I'm around nice, loving people the more comfortable and maybe less crabby I will become. I love to run around outside and roll around in the grass. I play with my foster brother; we really like to wrestle around and play tug of war with our stuffed toys. I came to rescue with another little dog and he is in the same foster home. While he is older and doesn't like to play much, he doesn't mind when I curl up on the couch next to him. I'm kind of scared of dogs that are bigger than me so I would prefer a home with dogs that are similar in size or I wouldn't mind being the only dog. I like to go for walks around the neighborhood and I do really well on leash. I'm recovering from a non-contagious form of mange and my fur has started to grow back in nicely. It's really only noticeable on my tummy and legs. I'm 100% potty trained and keep my kennel nice and clean when my foster mom is at work. She has started to leave me out for a few hours and I do just fine but since I really like my kennel she puts me in it when she is at work. I just met some cats the other day and didn't really think much of them so my foster mom thinks I would do just fine in a home with them. I'm missing some teeth but it doesn't really stop me from eating whatever I'm given but I prefer soft treats and my food is small kibble so it's easy for me to eat. If you are looking for a low-key, easy going (except when I'm tired), little guy to add to your family, I just might be the one you are looking for. Feel free to fill out an application to meet me and we can see if we are a match.
