Adopt a Chihuahua

A TINY & SWEET FRIEND:  7 years old / 3.5 lbs.  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  My dad loved me, but he had to move to an assisted living home, so I was given away but that didn’t work out well as I ended up crated outside with 2 other dogs which was really tough. Fortunately, my dad’s family stepped in and I worked my way to Mostly Mutts where I’m getting the care I need.  I came in with a lacerated left eye and thankfully, the vet was able to save it!  I’ll always have a little white speck in that eye due to the damage, but I can see out of my eye again.  My foster mom says I am “3 pounds of ‘sweetness” and that I love to be around people. I just want to be close to you, so be prepared to settle in and snuggle once I’m near you. Tummy rubs are one of my favorite things, and being carried around is alright with me too.  I also enjoy just napping nearby as well, and I’ve been very quiet which is a bonus for you.  Although I was rescued with two other dogs, I’d be thrilled to have you to myself as I act like a very tough dog when meeting other pets.  It is pretty easily correctable in my foster home with a firm “no”.  I’m feisty about my food and toys, so if you do have another dog, feed me separately, please.  I don’t have any teeth, but will stand my ground, for sure!  As far as my potty habits go, I do pretty well with a pee pad, but there’s room for improvement and I’ll likely do very well on a regular schedule.  I’m reported to be a bit cautious around kids and due to my tiny size, much older kids or an adult-only home may be best for me.  I have a little heart murmur from a septal defect, but do not need medication.  I’m a tiny love bug just waiting to meet you!  Energy level: 3-4.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $275.00.
