Spike is a permanent resident of AEAR due to his age. He is very happy in his foster home. We would like him to live out his life there. if you'd like to donate towards Spike's ongoing care we'd be very grateful. You can go to our web site to make a donation at www.aear.org. We also encourage you to follow our very active Facebook page.

Spike is a senior boy that has reached a time in his life where he wants to enjoy life and watch the world go by.

Spike does get along with small dogs but can be quite defensive with big dogs...but the big dogs he's living with now look at him like, "who are you fooling?" LOL.

Spike is an easy dog who would make a wonderful companion.

All our animals available for adoption are living in foster homes. This gives us the ability to really get to know the animals we have available and find them families that are a good fit for them based on their personalities. We do not have a shelter to visit the animals.
