Harvey the Dog needs a home
Harvey is an 8 year old meatball shaped chihuahua. His owner passed away and he found himself in a shelter.
Housebroken for the most part if you keep up with a schedule. Sleeps in his crate all night without a peep.
He is perfectly content to sleep most of the day away under a blanket.
He may be slow to warm up, and is pretty stoic all the time. But once he’s comfortable he will come seek out snuggles and follow you around with a tail wag.
Harvey has some back problems that require him to take meds daily. This also means he can’t do steps. He walks at a very slow pace and sometimes it’s easier just to carry him.
Harvey would prefer a home with no children, or at least older children. He doesn’t bite (he growls, all talk), but gets a little stressed and will bark. He does fine with other dogs, but they need to be small or low energy. As he doesn’t walk well he gets knocked over easily and he can get scared.
He has had some teeth removed but will
Still eat small breed food just fine. Even though he prefers theme fancy fresh pet food. ;)
He needs a special adopter that know the challenges and benefits of adopting a senior.
