Adopt a Chihuahua

LOOKING FOR A QUIET, CALM HOME:  8 years old / 3 lbs. and needs to gain a little weight  Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm.  Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week.  I am a tiny and very sweet guy who wants nothing more than to be with my people and receive the love I deserve!  I am happiest when I am wrapped in or lying under a snuggly blanket.  Laps are nice to, and being held is new to me, so I’m learning to enjoy it a little each day.  In my foster home, I like sleeping in my crate at night time, even preferring it over sleeping in bed with my humans.  I think it’s just my comfy spot, so I’d like to have one in my new home.  I’ve been very quiet in my foster home, enjoying the good life hanging out and feeling safe.  When I was at the shelter I was noisy, so I’d get people’s attention, but I haven’t done that in my foster home.  I have a very calm nature and would benefit from a quiet home with adults and much older gentle children.  I came to Mostly Mutts with really bad teeth and had to have all of them removed, so I’m feeling much better now and just need a soft food diet.  You will notice that my eyes look a little different, I have microphthalmia in my right eye (which I was born with) so that eye is smaller.  My left eye is fine, and the vet says there is no need for treatment.  My potty manners are a work-in-progress, and I wear a belly band in my foster home to help prevent accidents and marking, so you will need to continue working with me on this.  I was neutered in late December, so hopefully the marking will greatly improve soon. Despite my small size and calm nature, I’m a bit of an explorer!  I can dig under a fence or run out the door if you are not keeping an eye on me, so please be very careful to keep me safe.  I’ve been good with the other calm dogs in my foster home, so if you have one, let’s meet!  I’m a sweetie and I’m sure you’ll love me!  Energy level: 3-4.  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered and my adoption fee is $275.00.
