Kris Kringle the Cat needs a home
Cats in the Cradle was contacted by a rescue out of Rome, GA with an urgent need. They had been contacted by their local kill shelter in regards to an adult cat brought in with what seemed to be excruciating injuries to both of his front paws. He was in a life or death situation and the odds seemed to be against him.. until CITC stepped up in the nick of time and stepped in to save his life. He was combo tested and came back negative and he seemed to be what some vets call puffy pads- he needed to have surgery to remove the masses from his paws and would need close monitoring in the days to come.
CITC contacted their vet and the cat, named Kris Kringle because of the upcoming holiday season, was transported by a volunteer the next day. He was immediately given medication to soothe his pain and surgery was completed shortly after. Unfortunately when Kris was brought in, he was severely anemic. He required a blood transfusion and an array of medications to treat the condition he was in. After spending a week at the veterinary clinic, Kris was ready to be released under the care of a foster.
Kris is now staying with a volunteer of Floyd Felines & Friends and his true, loving self is shining through! His foster says that he would make a great lap cat and LOVES attention! Everyone that meets Kris falls in love with him- be it because of his big, beautiful face or his sweet, gentle personality.. he is such a wonderful cat and will need a caring home to go to as soon as his treatment is finished. He will require some special care, but it is easy to take special care of such a special cat.
