Adopt a Chihuahua

SUCH A LOVE BUG:  7 years old / 4 lbs.   Mostly Mutts adoption facility is open Mon-Sat. 11-4pm. Some of us are in foster homes so please call 770-272-6888 1st to find out if I’m available to meet during the week. My dad loved me, but he had to move into an assisted living home, so I worked my way to Mostly Mutts and look forward to finding a new family to love. I’m what they call, 4 lbs. of total love! I’d be happiest if I could attach myself to you & stay with you all day long, & I’m such good boy when I have you nearby. I love everyone I’ve met & have accepted everyone’s love. I enjoy belly rubs & have a trusting nature. I seem to especially love to men & have warmed up quickly to my foster dad. I’ll follow you wherever you go & really like to know where my people are in the home. I’m looking for a home with a stay/work from home family member, or I could even go to work with you since I’m so little and I’ve loved everyone I’ve met. Once I know I’m safe & have learned the routine, I don't mind my crate for short periods of time & will just sleep while you are gone.  When I hear you come home I’ll bark with joy until you come & get me.  I’m very snuggly & would love to sleep with you—I hardly take up any room!  I love to sleep under the covers or burrow under a blanket & sometimes I just stick my head under the covers. Since I only have a few teeth left, my tongue hangs out of my mouth, especially when I sleep—it’s pretty cute! I love going for walks & do well on a leash.  I do stop to mark outside frequently so that everyone knows there's a new kid in town. Keep an eye on me when I’m out in the yard—I may look like prey to a hawk, yikes!  I have been doing well with my potty manners since coming to my foster home & being on a 2-3 hr. potty schedule during the day. I don't like getting wet so if it’s raining or the ground is wet, you really have to convince me to take care of business. The other dogs in my foster home help me remember what I’m supposed to do when we go outside! They are my buddies & we get along fine, so if you have a nice dog at home, let’s meet.  I however don’t need another doggie in my new home, just a stay at home member to love & laps to snuggle in! I really like sunbathing when it is warm outside or finding the spot in the house where the sun shines through the window. I’ve also done well with the nice kitties in my foster home. It took a little time to get to know them but now we enjoy the sun spots in the house together. I like squeaky toys & chewing on antlers. I have a really cute play bow & I bark when I want you to play with me. Energy level: 3-4. I’ve met some gentle kids that I liked, however a home with older gentle kids will be best for me as I’m tiny. I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped, neutered & my adoption fee is $275.00.
